Downloadable Painting Pattern - Folk Art -Tole Painting - Fun With Strokes by artist  Susan Abdella, MDA

Early American Tole Painting was popular with German immigrants who settled in the Pennsylvania region of the United States during the 1800's.

Tole painting is one of the many Folk Art styles that are still popular with decorative painters today. Tole painting refers to painting on tin. During the 1800’s this painting style was used as a way to decorate domestic utensils and even furniture in an effort to make the homes brighter and more cheerful.
