E-PAINTING PATTERN - Orange Gerber Daisy - Acrylic - Kim Ervin
Downloadable Painting Pattern - Orange Gerber Daisy - Acrylic - Kim Ervin

This acrylic painting pattern of a beautiful bright Orange Gerber Daisy is sure to give your paintbrush a happy face. Designed for the intermediate painter, Kim shares her painting steps to help you reinforce the concept of value placement.

The lesson comes complete with a line drawing and both color and black and white images showing the exact value placement for creating three dimensional form.  Students will find the value placement map very helpful in this exercise.

Also included is the color palette and the written steps for you to follow along with.

Painted on an 11"x14"canvas surface. This design of a 'macro' or close-up flower can be enlarged to fit any size painting surface. If made significantly larger, remember to adjust your brush sizes to suit.

Kim uses pure pigments...she provides the mixes for each stage. If you would like to use oil paints, the pigments and color mixes can easily be converted to oils.

    Orange gerber daisy review

Posted by Lucie Boudreault on 16th Jul 2016

like the way she uses values. But this is definitely not a pattern for beginners. The instructions are too general. Like very much the flower, the colours. Still learning after all these years. Fun.

    stunning gerbera

Posted by Anne on 23rd Sep 2014

I love the look of this - even though orange is not a colour I would normally paint with. The one thing I was slightly disappointed about is that when printed out, the photos were not as clear as I expected. I imagine the pixels have been reduced to make for faster downloading. I have not painted the gerbera yet so cannot comment on the instructions - but it looks good.

I love the design...and the colors are beautiful. I have read most of the directions but only bought this packet last night. the directions are clear and easy to understand. I am very excited about getting this design and will paint it soon.

I can't wait to paint it. I plan to make it as big as I can.
