Introduction to Painting Portraits - This is a monotone sepia painting, sometimes also referred to as a tonal value painting or underpainting. The focus is to concentrate on the anatomy of the head and facial features and establishing the proper forms. Emphasis is placed on learning how each of the facial features relates to each other through their proportion and position. This lesson will help the student build a solid foundation for understanding the human portrait.

    I purchased this booklet a while back and was very impressed. Well written and packed full of information. Easy to follow painting instructions.
