Downloadable Painting Pattern -Acrylic - Two Roses on a Ledge by Susan Abdella, MDA

Two Roses on a Ledge is painted using an abbreviated adaptation of the Flemish Technique. In other words the background, shelf and background leaves are painted in rather than using the Umbra and Dead Layer which is part of the actual Flemish Technique. So this design paints a little bit faster. The instructions focus on the stroked roses, the secondary flowers, cast shadows and of course the leaves. Included among the step photos are 2 pages (12 photos total) showing each step for paint the stroked rose.

This lesson is painted with acrylics and is geared for the intermediate artist.
