February Dusk by Gladys Neilsen

In this  monochromatic painting the  color scheme is derived from a single base hue that is extended using its shades, tones, and tints. The Tints are achieved by adding white and shades and tones are achieved by adding a darker color, grey or black. The wide value range of contrasting tones and tints is used to attract attention and create focus and it  gives this landscape a sense of cohesion and peace.   In this packet you will learn how to make a monochromatic painting a Wow painting!

The pattern can be enlarged or reduced to the  size you desire and painted on a canvas or any flat surface.

This design was painted with DecoArt Americana Acrylics using a very limited palette of basic colors.

All Standard Acrylic painting supplies are required.

Flat and Round brushes are used along with a Deerfoot Stippler
