New E-Packet Lesson, Susan Abdella, MDA

Susan Abdella, MDA

Discover the Flemish technique used by the Old Dutch Masters.  You can paint along to create depth and dimension in your painting using a traditional layering method.

Watch this painting come to life as Susan shows you how to begin with a tonal underpainting, develops the middle values through the use of the classical dead layer, and slowly develops color through the subsequent use of opaque and transparent layers of pigment.  This lesson will help you gain a greater understanding of the methods used by the Old Masters.
