Design name: Bouquet of Beauty - This E- packet is a watercolor application.

The beautiful fragrant rose is the queen of flowers.  It comes in so many varieties and can be found in every color imaginable.  It has one of the longest blooming seasons of any flower.  Its beauty continues from bud to full blossom and it is not hard to see why the rose in all its splendor continues to be a favorite in our gardens and on our canvases.

This design will be an exercise in wet in wet and wet in dry watercolor painting.

This e-packet comes complete with photographs, line drawing and step by step photographs, and instructions for the artist to paint along with.

Pansy is derived from the French word pensee, "thought" and remembrance. It is believed pansies were named that because the petals can resemble a face and they nod forward as though deep in thought. Receiving a bouquet of pansies from someone means "thinking of you". This packet will take you through the steps to paint your very own pansy using a wet on wet technique to create the shape and form of this mulitpetalled flower. Learn to paint waterdrops and the wings of the bee using transparent color and to softly blend background color.  See the link below for a short video on mottling the background.

Painted on a 12 by 12 gallery canvas, artist Connie Clark created this Pink Hibiscus as a fun weekend project.  

Design name: Cherry Jam - This E- packet is a Acrylic and Global blending application combined. 

This design will teach you to work with a limited palette of color.The student will learn to build contrast through the control of values. This is a good design to teach a simple metal texture, a filled glass container and to paint a composition in strong sunlight. Wet in wet blending, glazing, and the addition of the 'light' details will provide the student with a strong lesson.

This 16 page e-packet comes complete with over 15 photographs, line drawing and includes step by step images and extensive instructions for the artist to paint along with.

This lesson is based on the Chippendale style painting technique. The lesson teaches the artist how to work with a white underpainting on a dark ground. The artist learns to control intensities and values for dimension through the use of layering such as glazing and veiling. The lesson also teaches the student to appreciate the benefits of optical mixing through the use of transparent applications. This design is painted on a large Chippendale styled metal tray, however the design could be adapted for a beautiful tabletop, trunk or for custom furniture.

Design name: Christmas Hospitality - This E- packet is an Acrylic and Global blending application combined. 

The artist, Donna Richards has selected a shallow wooden serving bowl and painted the holiday design on the inside. This design could be fitted to many different surfaces, such as serving trays, card boxes, wooden plates or platters, placemats etc. This design could also be fitted onto the lid of a band box used to hold holiday decorations.

This lesson combines the traditional method of base coating the elements of the design in with acrylic paint with that of using ‘global blending’ techniques in which the paints are specifically prepared for oil emulation.

This holiday design is a study in painting hair and fur and includes other special effects. The composition is painted using a wet in wet blending technique and features many special effects such as smoke, atmosphere, a scumbled background with ghost trees used to enhance and complete the depth in the composition.

This re-released design has been newly converted to Traditions paints. The design features two beautiful winter compositions. The traditional Christmas rose, holly and red berries enhances two lovely winter landscapes.

This design also offers the artist several options, and the design can be adapted to fit several surfaces used to decorate during the winter season.

This design was created for the beginner painter using a simple limited palette. This style of stroke design allows the artist an opportunity to practice strokes and build flowers in a simple design. Painting on a three dimensional surface also provides the artist with an opportunity to learn to work with the challenges of this type of surface.
